Your journey to earning the Certified Professional Business Coach (CPBC) designation begins here. Day 1 of our 4-day intensive Bootcamp strips away the traditional “consultant” or “manager” mindset, replacing it with the high-level inquiry and active listening skills required to lead executive-level clients.
Led by veteran PBCA Master Trainers Cindy Piva and Kerry Brown, this immersive virtual session is designed strictly for leaders with 10+ years of business experience who are ready to master the core competencies of professional coaching.
What We Cover: Day 1 Curriculum
- The Coaching Foundation: We define the clear boundaries between coaching, mentoring, consulting, and counseling, while guiding you through the four stages of skill acquisition (from unconscious incompetence to unconscious competence).
- Ethics & Standards: A deep dive into the PBCA Code of Ethics, emphasizing the honesty, integrity, and absolute confidentiality required to build trust-based coaching relationships.
- The PBCA Framework: Learning to navigate the critical intersection between a client’s Business Effectiveness (structure, strategy, and clarity) and their Personal Effectiveness (mindset, habits, and self-leadership).
- The “Arrows” of Coaching: Mastering the tactical delivery of a coaching session, including how to ask powerful open-ended questions, allow for silence, and reflect answers without projecting your own bias.
- Active Listening & Roleplay: Moving past surface-level conversations to “go wide and go deep” into root issues through live, peer-to-peer practice sessions.
- Defining Deliverables: Understanding exactly what a client pays for, including clarity on strategy, defined action steps, and ongoing accountability.

- Credential Earned: Certified Professional Business Coach (CPBC).
- Location: PBCA Virtual Classroom (Zoom).
- Requirements: Minimum 10 years of leadership experience plus higher education.
- Total Program Cost: $7,500.00 CDN (+ GST).
- Included Bonus: One full year of membership post-certification.
